Meme For Horror Bloggers From Billy Loves Stu

The First Ever Billy Loves Stu Meme for Horror Bloggers

1: In Ten Words or Less, Describe Your Blog:
The ramblings of a young queer for fear

2: During What Cinematic Era Where you Born?
I was born in 1991 so that would be the Self Referential/Post Modern Era
3: The Carrie Compatibility Question:
Billy Nolan

4: You have been given an ungodly amount of money, and total control of a major motion picture studio - what would your dream Horror project be?

Queer horror films that weren't cheesy and stereotypical. I have a major issue with a lot of gay horror cinema. It's usually gay before it is a horror film, I would so it the other way around. Make it a horror movie with gay charters or surrounds issues in the gay community.

That or I would make a film based off of Edgar Allan Poe's Annabel Lee.
5: What horror film "franchise" that others have embraced, left you cold?

I have refused to take part in the Saw franchise. I haven't seen any and I don't feel the need to. I might try the first one but really it is of no interest to me.

6: Is Michael Bay the Antichrist?

Yes, I heard he is working on a remake of The Birds. That is completely unacceptable.

But I have to say in his Nightmare on Elms St Freddie's makeup was done very well. I enjoyed that he looked more like a real burn victim.

7: Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Frankenstein Monster - which one of these classic villains scares you, and why?

The Wolf Man, I'm not into hairy guys ;]

But in reality Dracula, there is no escaping him. He is dark and good looking(things I can't resist)

8: Tell me about a scene from a NON HORROR Film that scares the crap out of you:
I'll have to get back to you on this.

9: Baby Jane Hudson invites you over to her house for lunch. What do you bring?
Booze and the sheet music for I've Written A Letter To Daddy. AND maybe gun(just in case)

10: So, between you and me, do you have any ulterior motives for blogging? Come, on you can tell me, it will be our little secret, I won't tell a soul.

Suggestions for movies, tips on makeup.

11: What would you have brought to Rosemary Woodhouse's baby shower?
A wire coat hanger and some bleach

12: Godzilla vs The Cloverfield Monster, who wins?
Godzilla, and I hope he would do his cute little clap after

13: If you found out that Rob Zombie was reading your blog, what would you post in hopes that he read it?

"Dear Mr. Zombie,
Please come here to Massachusetts and do horrible, horrible things to me, I know I would throughly enjoy it. ALSO please do a film set in the 50s. I think your style mixed with your eye for era appropriate detail makes me think you could do a great horror film set in the Atomic Era.

Thank you and can't wait to see you in my bedroom,
Shane"

14: What is your favorite NON HORROR FILM, and why?
Grey Gardens, because I am little Edie Beale

15: If blogging technology did not exist, what would you be doing?
Practicing Makeup! Or watching The Shining.

Zombie a Go-Go

Today I had to go to my mother's work and make her and one of her co workers into zombies(she works in a hospital)! They were doing some sort of presentation with the photos, don't ask me how the zombies connect all I know is that my Mom's work gave me the money back for the makeup I bought. SO of course I bought a little more than I needed so I can use it in the future. But for not having made anyone up as in a zombie for a while I was happy with the outcome. I only had an hour for the two people so I didn't get to get into doing any sort of latex fun! But when I got home I did! I was waiting around for some friends to come over and I ended up making myself a nice bullet wound for my forehead(pictured above, a little washed out but you get the point). I colored it as if I were a zombie because I didn't have any flesh tones(which I'm going to invest in, I think I'm going to buy s0me Ben Nye pots) But in reality I know a bullet to the forehead would be the way to kill a zombie.

I'll have pictures of my mother and her co-worker in the next couple days. I just have to get her to send it to me!

Horror Daze

SO I've decided that this blog is going to follow my work on getting into special effects makeup along with my movie watching, halloween activities and all around darker side of life.

Is it bad that I'm already having second thoughts about going to art school? It's going to be hella expensive and it's not going to be prepping me for the career I want to go into. I want to be in the Special Effects Makeup field. But I know it will b helpful to go to I will learn a lot and get skills that will be helpful.

Well really there's not turning back no anyways. And if it doesn't work out the first year the Savini School will still be there.

Monster Tees

If you didn't know I work at a Hot Topic store in my mall and lately the company has been getting really great horror shirts. I bought a black shirt with all blue printing of the Bride of Frankenstein a while back. The in our clearence section I found a Devils Rejects shirt that kicked ass, it was everyone posed into the last supper and all the color was red so it just looked bloody. It was really well designed.(This shirt a friend rippped a hole in this week)Then we got in a Universal monsters shirt that glows in the dark, which I of course bought( and got bleach on this week) And yesterday I bought another Bride of Frankenstein shirt that is all printed in green! And the best part is I didn't even know it went on clearence until I was paying for it. I also got a Vampira shirt, which was amazing(in the Hot Topic clearence too) I spotted a new Bela Lugosi shirt when I shopping in a different Hot Topic than my own. It was Bela in a room and a whole bunch of spider webs! But my favorite new horror themed shirt was the new Eddie Munster shirt!

Long time, no post!

So I haven't been posting on this blog at all lately because I haven't been watching much for new horror movies. I have't had the time really. I have been getting my pinup studio together and getting ready to run off to art school in August! But now I am getting more down time to watch movies and do what I really like. As of right now my life plan is to go to Montserrat for four years. Major in Graphic design(because there is work in it and I have been told I have an eye for design) and I am going to minor in sculpting. Which will give me a good background for the next step in my plan, which is to go to special effects makeup school! I have had the Savini school in the back of my mind for a while now. So if in four years I still want to go into special effects I will go and get the education I need there and come back to Massachusetts where more and more movies are being shot. But how knows how things will go I am always changin my mind on what I like!

As of late the only horror thing I've done was buy the 100th issue of Rue Morgue! It is pretty kick ass! Totally worth picking up! I loved the coverto start and the content was preatt awesome. It was a lot on Christopher Lee, I haven't seen many of his movies but the articles made me want to!

I'll leave you with one of my favorite horror themed songs.

Death Magazine

In my AP design class I have to do a concentration. For that i decided that I was going to make and design a whole horror zine(seeing as it would be shorter than a real magazine) I've had the idea that I wanted to make a magazine called "Death" because there is a "Life" Magazine. Well, I figured I would have to start acting on this. My design teacher was lovin' the idea, I designed up the logo a few months ago and now I'm playing with it on the computer, with the help of my Best Fag Hag Lesbian. So I figured I would post it on here(mostly so Casey can see because she's my only follower and my design buddy. I'll post more of the pages and layouts along the way. I need to get Photoshop and Illustrator on my computer at home so I can do more stuff like this.
